    Last Updated: May 21, 2026 | Effective Date: May 21, 2026 | Version: 1.0

YOUR CONSENT, AND HOW TO STOP

    • By providing your phone number or email and opting in, you consent to receive the messages described below.
    • Consent to marketing messages is never a condition of purchase.
    • Reply STOP to any text message to opt out; reply HELP for help.
    • Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email to opt out.
    • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

This policy explains how RentalTide Inc. ("RentalTide," "we," "us") sends SMS/text, email, voice, and push notifications, the legal basis for each, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and applies in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and elsewhere.

    1. Channels We Use

    We may contact you by:

    • SMS / text message (via Twilio)
    • Email (via SendGrid)
    • Voice calls (account, fraud, and support matters)
    • Push and in-app notifications (if you use our apps)

    2. Two Kinds of Messages

    TypeExamplesConsent basis
Transactional / serviceBooking confirmations, receipts, reminders, security alerts, password resets, fraud and KYC notices, payout and Capital notices, legal and policy updatesNecessary to provide the Services and the contract you entered; sent to all users
Marketing / promotionalNewsletters, product announcements, offers, re-engagement, surveysSent only with the consent required in your jurisdiction (Section 5); always opt-out

You cannot opt out of essential transactional messages while you hold an active account, because we need them to operate your account and meet legal obligations. You can opt out of all marketing at any time.

    3. SMS / Text Program (US TCPA & A2P 10DLC)

    3.1 Opt-In

By giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts (for example, by checking a box, texting a keyword, or confirming at signup), you consent to receive SMS from RentalTide. Marketing texts that use an automatic telephone dialing system are sent only after prior express written consent, consistent with the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and FCC rules.

    3.2 Program Details

    • Purpose: Booking and account notifications and, where you opted in, promotions.
    • Message frequency: Varies by your activity; recurring messages may be sent.
    • Cost: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. RentalTide does not charge for the messages themselves.

    3.3 Opt-Out and Help

    • Reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to cancel. We will send one confirmation and then stop, except for essential transactional messages permitted by law.
    • Reply HELP for help, or email support@rentaltide.com.

    3.4 Carriers

Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier and network conditions.

    3.5 A2P 10DLC Registration

Our application-to-person (A2P) messaging is registered under the U.S. carrier 10DLC framework through our messaging provider. We use registered sender identities and approved campaign types, and we do not send messages in prohibited categories (for example, unlawful, deceptive, or restricted-content messaging).

    4. Email (US CAN-SPAM)

    Every marketing email we send:

    • Identifies RentalTide as the sender and includes a valid postal address;
    • Has a truthful subject line and is clearly identifiable as a promotion where applicable; and
    • Contains a working unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly (and within 10 business days, as CAN-SPAM requires).

Transactional emails (receipts, security, legal notices) may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing, as the law permits.

    5. Consent Basis by Jurisdiction

JurisdictionGoverning lawWhat it means for marketing messages

ElsewhereLocal equivalentsWe apply consent and opt-out standards at least as protective as the above

We keep marketing consent and rely on an existing-business-relationship basis only where the applicable law allows it.

    6. How to Withdraw Consent

You can stop marketing communications at any time by any of these methods:

    • SMS: reply STOP
    • Email: click unsubscribe
    • Account: update your notification preferences in account settings
    • Anytime: email privacy@rentaltide.com

We action opt-outs promptly and, where a deadline applies (CASL: 10 business days), within that deadline. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect essential transactional messages or the quality of your service.

    7. Messages Sent by Rental Operators

Rental operators using our platform may send their own booking and marketing communications to their customers. When they do, the operator is the sender and is responsible for obtaining consent and complying with TCPA, CASL, the Spam Act, the UEMA, and other applicable laws. RentalTide provides tools and contractual requirements (see Provider Terms and Acceptable Use Policy) but is not the sender of operator-originated marketing.

    8. Service Providers

We use Twilio for SMS and voice and SendGrid for email. These providers process message content and metadata on our behalf as sub-processors under contract. See our Sub-Processors page and Privacy Policy.

    9. Records of Consent

We keep records of how and when you opted in or out (timestamp, method, and the number or address concerned) to demonstrate compliance and to honor your preferences. These records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.

    10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date and, where required, notified to you.
